New features:

New Embedded engine content management switches

New content management switches have been added on the policy page. These are:

  • Tracked Changes in Word and Excel documents
  • In text comments in Word documents
  • Slide notes in Powerpoint slides.

Pre-set Find and Redact rules for Financial values

A new page has been added when creating a Find and Redact rule that has a pre-set rule for Credit card numbers.

Fixes & improvement:

  • "Processing order" in Find and redact page replaced with "Rule Number".
  • Can no longer use Lookbehind and Lookahead assertions in Regex find and redact rules.
  • Redaction field will error when non-US keyboard characters are used.
  • Updated tooltip on the Find and Redact pages to indicate searches are case insensitive.
  • Text updated on policy save confirmation to better reflect time take for policy to take effect.
  • Glasswall Conform installer updated to be installed in one location rather than into temp files.
  • Fixed issue where policy could be edited when editable config is set to false.
  • Fixed an issue where config values were being reset between updates. Please note, this fix will only work on installs and updates starting from 3.7.0.

Known issues or limitations:

  1. Different Archives files format not supported (Gzip, Tar).
  2. Synchronisation of very large folders may reduce performance.
  3. New functionality limited to Windows.
  4. Word 1997-2003 (.doc) files containing an embedded item will not have results for Find and Redact. Clean file will still be returned.
  5. Homoglyphs will be used as a match when processing however will not show as matching in the UI in Find and Redact.
  6. Redaction will only work with single byte UTF-8 Characters.
  7. Find and Redact is case insensitive.
  8. Lookahead and Lookbehind regex patterns will cause Find and Redact to silently fail.
  9. Some PDF files that would be blocked are being regenerated.
  10. Field code: comments items show as removed embedded object in the analysis report.
