New features:

PDF Regeneration

By using the PDF regeneration capabilities of Glasswall Conform, you can now secure a facsimile of misbehaving PDFs to allow the files to be fully sanitized, this will only effect a small minority of files. PDF regeneration functionality will be "On" by default and can be controlled from the system settings page. There is also the ability to add a watermark to any regenerated files so the reader is aware it has been changed, the text for the watermark can be edited from the settings page.

Pre set ID values for Find and Redact

The Find and Redact create your rule page has been updated to include pre-set ID numbers. These include:

• United States ID Numbers
  • Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)
  • Passport number
  • Social Security Number (SSN)
• United Kingdom ID Numbers
  • Drivers License
  • National Health Service (NHS)
  • National Insurance number (NI number)
  • Passport Number
  • Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR)

Fixes & improvement:

• Updated validation on Find and Redact Regex matching to give warnings when unsupported characters are used.
  • Warnings where characters other than single byte UTF-8 are used.
  • Warning when ^ is used and not preceded by [ or character is escaped.
  • Warning when $ is used unless character is escaped.

Known issues or limitations:

1. Different Archives files format not supported (Gzip, Tar).
2. Synchronisation of very large folders may reduce performance.
3. New functionality limited to Windows.
4. Word 1997-2003 (.doc) files containing an embedded item will not have results for Find and Redact. Clean file will still be returned.
5. Homoglyphs will be used as a match when processing however will not show as matching in the UI in Find and Redact.
6. Redaction will only work with single byte UTF-8 Characters.
7. Lookahead and Lookbehind regex patterns will cause Find and Redact to silently fail.
8. Some PDF files that would be blocked are being regenerated.
