    Glasswall Halo VM images are not configured with the United States Government (USG) banner login message that is part of the DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

    This banner message (shown below), or any custom banner, can be added by inserting the banner text into the file /etc/motd on the VM. The SSH daemon will require a restart to propagate changes (e.g. rebooting the VM or restarting SSH deamon sudo systemctl restart sshd).

    USG STIG Login Banner Message

    You are accessing a U.S. Government (USG) Information System (IS) that is provided for USG-authorized use only.
    
    By using this IS (which includes any device attached to this IS), you consent to the following conditions:
