Release 5.3

1. General Remarks

Release 5.3 is a patch release of the Glasswall Embedded Engine.

3. Fixes & Improvements

• Fixed an error which occurs when parsing config.xml when using the -n option.
• Ensured that the process report log is always produced, without needing to specify report mode 1.
• Fixed a bug where an analysis report is produced for an unsupported file despite skipUnsupportedFiles set to 1.
• Removed ini file options which have no effect on processing and provide "not supported" message.
• Corrected the process log entry when skipUnsupportedFiles = 1 to remove an inaccurate failure message.
• Match Rebuild behaviour for useSubfolder option.
• Fixed a bug where for process modes 6 & 7 blank summary.xml file is generated
• Fixed a memory leak occurring in the gwcli.

4. Defects and Limitations

• The JavaScript wrapper is currently excluded from the release package. This will be reintroduced in a subsequent release.
• Archive Manager and Word Search Java wrapper compatibility is currently limited to JRE8.
• PDFs generated via the MS Outlook Adobe plugin are not supported.
• Word Search analysis XML no longer reports structural content or changes.
• Processing times may be impacted by changes made to licensing functionality.
• Where using the GWCLI ini file, fileToFileMode = 1 must be specified (https://docs.glasswall.com/docs/cli-tool-embedded-engine). This option will be deprecated in a subsequent release.
