Fixes and Improvements
- Updates to reporting to ensure IDs are consistent across protect, export and import use cases.
- Fixed issue in OOXML where some Sanitisation IDs were reported as 0 for customXML streams.
- Fixed issue in OOXML where some regenerated files containing macro sheets were unopenable.
- Updates to embedded object handling (in line with ISG recommendations introduced since 16.1.0) now extended to export/import use cases.
- Fixed issue affecting some OOXML files where allowing WDP embedded content led to the failure "Failed to parse document correctly".
- Fixed issue in PDF where remedy and sanitisation items were not reported in analysis reports for content export use cases.
- Updates in OOXML to repair certain non-compliant files during engine processing.
- Fixed issue in PDF where the presence of certain JBIG objects that led to the failure "[FAILURE_LOG_PDF_JBIG_0335] Segment tokenisation failure occurred but proceed with processing any tokenised segments.]".
- In-Text Comments support (introduced since 16.4.0) is now extended to export/import use cases.
- Fixed issue in XLSX that led to a repair message in some regenerated files.
- Extended fix (from 16.5.0) in OOXML for export/import use cases where blip elements were not removed under hyperlink content management policies.
Defects and Limitations
- The Alpine library is currently excluded from the release package and will be reintroduced in a future release.
- The JavaScript wrapper is currently excluded from the release package and will be reintroduced in a future release.
- The Word Search Java wrapper compatibility is currently limited to JRE8.
- PDFs generated via the MS Outlook Adobe plugin are not supported.
- Word Search analysis XML no longer reports structural content or changes.
- Processing times may be impacted by changes made to licensing functionality.
- Processing files using multiple threads is not supported. Spawning multiple processes is advised in order to facilitate parallel processing.
- Word Search functionality is provided as Beta:
- 'text' or 'regex' cannot be the same for 'require' or 'allow'/'disallow' as this will regenerate the file and ignore the 'disallow' or 'require' setting
|symbol at the start or end of 'require' can potentially cause the Engine to hang where using regex search policies
